Job Description
The country team is in charge of fostering technical cooperation, igniting interest, and organizing aid for health development in accordance with WHO recommendations and global and regional strategies.
Additionally, they are accountable for aiding in the gathering, analysis, and dissemination of health information.
Duties and Responsibilities
- The incumbent offers assistance in the following areas under the direction and supervision of the State Coordinator and in close coordination with the cluster’s operations officer or other support structures.
- Verify all necessary paperwork, insert pertinent data obtained from GSM or other online systems, confirm the availability of cash, update files, and transfer money as directed or as delegated.
- Examine obligatory documents for accuracy, and pursue any missing information. Then, liquidate debts, carry out reconciliation, and, if necessary, prepare periodic reports.
- Verifying and pursuing payment requests, reviewing various contractual agreements, granting PTAEO numbers, earmarking cash, etc.
- Prepare a purchase request for the cluster’s IT hardware and other assets, working closely with the right colleagues to verify that the requested products are appropriate.
- Keep a record of all contract extensions and renewals, and confirm that there are enough money to cover the requested contract.
- Follow up on the program’s execution by bringing issues, discrepancies, and delays to the supervisor’s or other senior staff’s notice.
- To analyze incoming correspondence and requests, seek out, obtain, and attach background information when necessary, or redirect them as appropriate, bringing them to the attention of the supervisor or other senior staff concerned.
- To draft correspondence on one’s own initiative or in accordance with instructions.
- To finalize correspondence/reports for signature.
- As required or directed, carry out additional relevant tasks, such as assisting with other areas of work.
Our Ideal Candidate
- Secondary school graduation is necessary for the position. understanding of general administrative philosophy and HR Policy practices.
- Experience with UN/HR systems is advantageous.
- It’s necessary to have editing and writing experience.
- 5–7 years of relevant experience in administration.
- Experience working for the WHO or another UN organization is advantageous.
- Oracle-based ERP system or other ERP system experience is a plus.
