History

DIFF Hospital is one of the leading Hospital and Fertility Centre in Nigeria. Managed by Dr. John Onaiwu Idahosa (MBBS(Ib), FWACS, FICS, MPA) who graduated from the university of Ibadan over 32 years ago. He is a registered member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) and Society for Human Reproductive and Embryology (ESHRE). He is married to Mrs. Mercy Idahosa. Their dream to establish DIFF Hospital was conceived on 26/2/2011 at the birth of a set of triplet after nine years of infertility. The acronym of the two boys and a girl – Divine, Favour and Faith is what is known as DIFF today.

DIFF Hospital started its clinical services on Thursday 1^st June 2004 at Plot 87, Karaye Close, off Amurie Omanje Street, Off Samuel Ladoke Akintola Boulevard, Garki 11, Abuja with a staff strength of 30, four in-patient rooms, one consulting and one Theatre. Within a space of 1^1/2 years, the pressing need for more bed space necessitated our relocation to No. 4 & 6 Udi Hills Close, Aso Drive, Maitama on 26^th February, 2006. Here we have 32 in-patient rooms, 5 consulting suites and 3 Theatres.

The Chief Medical Director – Dr. John Idahosa believed that any dream you cannot talk about is not big enough to rule you and good is not good enough where better is possible hence the mission statement of DIFF which creates an enabling environment to counteract the phobia people for hospitals with state-of-the art equipment to render quality service with a well-motivated, good attitude and inspired workforce.

DIFF hospital moved to its present location which is seated on a land of 30,000 square meters at No 10 Diff Street off Oladipo Diya Road Gudu, Abuja on 1^st of January 2020 with robust medical services ranging from Obstetrics and Gynecological services, comprehensive general medical and surgical services, Pediatrics services, Assisted Conception Unit, SALT Foundation, Eye Clinic, Dental Services, Neurological services etc. It is a well built tastefully furnished and well equipped and the largest private medical centre in the Federal Capital Territory in Nigeria in January 2020 worth more than 5.5 billion naira with the architectural and structural building of the entire complex fully undertaken from start to finish by our indigenous Diff Global Links (DGL).
