Job Title: Technical Controller (M / F / X)

Job Description

Would you like to work in a team that is extremely committed and motivated to achieving our shared goals? Then we are interested in hiring you as a Technical Controller (M/F/X) on a full-time basis for the significant “Abuja Kano Road” Project in Nigeria. A 380-kilometer-long, four-lane highway connecting the northern metropolis of Kano with the capital city of Abuja will be renovated in significant parts and built from scratch in others.

The project also includes about 50 bridges and 700 drainage structures, both of which need to be upgraded and incorporated into the overall plan. The cold bitumen mixing procedure will be introduced to Nigerian road construction by our expertise since this eco-friendly technique preserves resources and greatly lowers emissions.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Report to and provide assistance to the project management team and the Head of Controlling
  • Set up and revise the computation.
  • Create work reports, projections, and analyses (weight and cost analysis).
  • Actual and desired comparisons
  • Serve as a point of contact for ongoing risk analysis and reduction (non-conformities and complaints)
  • serving as a point of contact for people involved
  • Independent field study planning, execution, and evaluation for process improvement
  • Assignment of tasks and services to subcontractors and their preparation
  • On-site cross-checking and the creation of cost and volume comparisons between actual and intended levels
  • Examine and assist the material control personnel.
  • Create quarterly steering meetings and status meetings.
  • Prepare work reports and volume controls for each month.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Industrial engineering or a degree in building engineering (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, diploma, or an equivalent credential from a polytechnic or technical university).
  • Knowledge of working with databases
  • Proficiency in English (written and oral)
  • Joint effort, adaptability
  • A minimum of five years of professional experience in a comparable role (ideally with overseas experience)
  • Excellent knowledge of SAP, MS Office, and RIB KTWO
